Have you ever wonder what's at the end of the Rainbow? Some says that it might be a Magical World and some says that it's a Pot of Gold. But I says, it's a Rainbow Pokeball. *Now, I definitely have no idea who's inside that Pokeball.

Having read the other critiques on this piece I thought they were either a little harsh or a little over-praising, so I thought I'd write one I thought was a bit fairer, somewhere in-between. Bear with me on this because I've never written a critique before..
Firstly, I think this is visually highly appealing. It may be because I'm attracted to bright colours and because blue and purple are my favourite colours, but I find it very satisfying to look at. I don't agree that the background is awkward; I think it frames the pokéball nicely and doesn't draw too much attention from the focus of the piece. I also like the way the light is shining through the pokéball, and the use of black in the picture to contrast the bright colours. I think it all works very well.
However, as ~Souvent said, it is true that the whole real-life pokéball idea has been massively overdone, and, like many other people I'm sure, I'm getting a little tired of seeing them on the front page. It also slightly annoys me that these pokéballs look very heavy and would be completely impractical for keeping pokémon in. That's probably just me though.
Overall then, a visually attractive piece, the subject of which is unfortunately totally overdone. Maybe try concentrating on pieces of artwork which are more original and expressive; from what I've seen of your work, you're more than capable of this
