The battle between the Comedy Duo ended up with Pearl's win with the score of 6-5. The two trainers are so evenly matched that all of their first 5 Pokemons had fainted leading them to the deciding match that features their final Pokemons.
Third Battle: Pearl vs. Diamond
Diamond chooses Bastiodon while Pearl chooses Infernape.
Infernape engage the first attack using Mach Punch which Bastiodon defended with Iron Defense. Batiodon was unaffected by Infernape's attack.
Bastiodon countered with a Heavy Slam that Infernape clashed with Close Combat. Both Pokemons were hurt.
Infernape was able to recover first and used Fire Spin against Bastiodon, the unprepared Bastiodon was trapped in the middle of the fire that hurts him relentlessly.
Infernape followed the Fire Spin with another Mach Punch that this time had severely damaged Bastiodon.
[Pearl 6 Diamond 5]
Violet got a little startled when Bronze just materializes behind her out of nowhere, "Yeah," she breathed, gaining her composure. "Guess I better prepare then wish me luck."
"Good luck," Bronze said. "Even though you don't need it," he mumbled.
Violet entered the Arena where her opponent from the other side awaits for her, Yellow, the psychic from Viridian Forest who is very proficient in coordinating with her Pokemons due to her ability to sense their emotions.
Fourth Battle: Violet vs. Yellow
Violet chooses her first Pokemon, and she chooses Togepi. Yellow also chooses hers, and she picked Raticate as her first Pokemon. Looks unevenly matched, an evolved Pokemon against an unevolved Pokemon, but Violet trust Togepi's strength to win this battle.
Raticate attacked Togepi using Hyper Fang but before he can connect to Togepi, Togepi used Sweet Kiss causing Raticate to be confused. Raticate ended up badly hurting himself instead of Togepi.
[Violet 1 Yellow 0]
Violet replaced Togepi with Milotic, while Yellow uses her Golem.
Golem attacked first using Rock Throw, which Milotic defended using a barrage of Aqua Tail followed by a Hydro Pump that directly hit Golem's body. As a rock type, Golem is weak against water type attacks, so he received a heavy amount of damage. Milotic attacked Golem with another bombardment of Aqua Tail, forcing him to retire.
[Violet 2 Yellow 0]
Milotic remains on the field, and Yellow released Omastar.
Milotic and Omastar clashed each other with their own variation move of Hydro Pump. Both attacks are evenly matched that it nullified each other. However, Milotic had reacted quicker and attack Omastar with Aqua Tail, Omastar was caught off guard and received a fair amount of damage.
Milotic blasted Omastar again with another Hydro Pump which he failed to counter this time. Omastar received a great deal of damage.
Violet 3 Yellow 0
Milotic stayed for another set of battle, while Yellow chooses her Dodrio.
Dodrio increased his speed through Agility and swiftly attacked Milotic with Drill Peck. Milotic clashed his attack with an Aqua Tail which causes an impact that throws Dodrio a few feet away from her. Dodrio was extremely hurt by the counterattack of Milotic.
Milotic blasted him with Hydro Pump which leads him to retire from the battle.
[Violet 4 Yellow 0]
Violet gave Milotic a rest and substituted her with Togepi. Yellow entered her Pikachu.
Pikachu used Thunderbolt attack which Togepi manage to evade by an inch. Togepi used Yawn and yawned over Pikachu. Pikachu attacked Togepi again using another Thunderbolt which hit Togepi. Togepi was hurt.
Pikachu tried to use Slam against Togepi to end the battle, but before she could connect, Pikachu started to feel sleepy and in no time fell into slumber. Pikachu fell asleep.
Togepi used Metronome and summoned the move Hyper Beam that directly hit the unconscious Pikachu.
[Violet 5 Yellow 0]
Violet switched Milotic back to the field in exchange to Togepi while Yellow used her last Pokemon which is Butterfree.
Butterfree flew into a higher altitude and attacked with Gust while Milotic used Twister. The two attacked clashed but the Twister of Milotic overpowered the Gust of Butterfree. Butterfree was hit by the Twister attack that the Gust clash failed to nullify. It didn't hurt Butterfree that much but it was still enough to knock him off balance in mid-air.
Milotic used that opportunity and attacked Butterfree with Hydro Pump.
Butterfree was knocked down by the strong current of water to ground and fainted.
[Violet 6 Yellow 0]
Bronze smiled in amusement as he watched on the huge monitor on how Violet claimed her victory against Yellow. With just 2 Pokemons, she defeated a trainer of Yellow's caliber in 6 straight matches.
"That girl is a monster," Cheren said as he also watched the conclusion of Violet and Yellow's battle beside him.
"What would you expect from the Wanderer."
Violet the Wanderer, a nickname that that was given to her by the Pokemon trainers that knows her, a wandering trainer that is marked as undefeated ever since she entered the world of Pokemon Battle. Even the Pokemon Masters admired her strength and some of them she even defeated in unofficial battles. The only reason why she isn't well known by non-Pokemon trainers unlike the other Pokedex Holders is that because she never had taken participation into any official tournaments or gym battles, the battle of the Pokedex Holders is even her first official fight in an arena while being watched by thousand of audience and television viewers, but despite that her strength as a trainer is not something that anyone could taken lightly.
"Do you think we can defeat her?" Cheren asked.
"You think we can't?"
"According to my calculation, my chance of winning against her is only 20%, and that is in the condition that all of her Pokemons are on their base forms while mine are all on their evolved form."
Bronze's eyes widened, "Seriously?" he said in disbelief.
Cheren nodded, "But since that wasn't the case, my actual chance for victory is only 8%."
"There's no math in an actual battle, we can get stronger in the actual match."
"Yes, and so is she. Accept it Bronze, our chances are slim."
"Not all of us," he glanced over to Red who is busy preparing his Pokeballs since his match against Crystal will be held next. "Do you think he got a chance?"
Cheren glanced also to Red before he answered Bronze's question. "To be honest he's the only one," he said firmly.
The only Pokemon Trainer that Violet didn't manage to completely defeat. The Fighter from Pallet Town, Red.
"Those two are thickest walls that we need to break if we want to win this tournament."
Bronze guess that Cheren is right, the Undefeated Wanderer and the Fighter that manage to pulls out a draw against her. Those two are the toughest contenders that the rest of them need to overcome if they desire to achieve victory on this battle of the best.
