:star: There had been a lot of Pokeballs here on DA, so I thought why not make one on my own. I guess it's not that good though.

Dear Marzarret,

as a long-time pokémon fan, my first impulse upon seeing this pokéball was wanting to grab it and never let it go again and catch a lot of amazing pokémon with it and wanting to be the very best like no one ever was.
Ah, now this is a pokéball.

I really, really adore the effects the lights and the shadows have in this one. The glossy, glassy surface of the pokéball gives off the impression that it would feel really good in your hand. To emphasize this, the way you modeled it is really plastic; it has structure, depth, a real feel of dimension, of "roundness" and "ball-ness" and "object-ness".
The shiny effect, the way the light bounces of the surface, how the ball is illuminated from behind, the bright, energetic, powerful glow from that button in the middle, the reflection of the ball is fantastic and eyecatching and also looks realistic to me.

The weaker aspects of this pokéball are the stars on the surface: While they look good, bright, shiny, shimmery, star-like, they also seem to hover around the ball, but not really caught under the surface or on the surface like I feel they should be - if they would go with the line and flow of the ball, however, wrapped around it and everything, I'm sure it would look better.
The background, I'm sorry to say it, also bugs me a bit - the left side seems to dark; it swallows a lot of the pokéball. Maybe a nuance brighter would be it? Also, the shadow of the ball on the bg seems a bit blurry at some points.
Thirdly, that one "dirty" pixel edge over the button is really a disturbance to the overall harmony of this picture. I apologise for being that rude, but I just can't express it differently. That's really that one thing that bothers me here - work on that bit. The problem here is also that it is so eye-catching due to being exactly in the brightly-lit centre. And for a picture and pokéball tht good, for an artist that good, a work shouldn't be disturbed by such a thing.

On another note, I really like the strong, contrasted edges on the right side of the picture; it really makes the ball stand out.
Last but not least, I adore your colour choice. It is attracting, eye-catching, mysterious, yet still calming, silent and not distracting. The starriness feels good. This whole pokéball just makes you feel good.

In short, this is a great, powerful pokéball with great colours and a great concept, but some weaknesses easy to work on.
Gotta catch 'em all~
