Pokemon Violet Ch.1

Chapter 1: The Gathering

Violet walk sluggishly as she makes her way through the hill that leads towards the Pummelo Stadium. She is so damn tired after the 10 hours of non-stop travel through planes and ships all the way from home up to this distant place of the Orange Archipelago.

This nightmare all started a few days ago while she was training her little Togepi when she received a mysterious message through her Pokedex. She actually found it very weird because all she knows is that the Pokedex is only meant to store and provide informations about Pokemons, but she never experienced ever since she received it from Professor Oak that it can be use as a mean of communication.

The message says:

Pummelo Stadium
Pummelo Island
Orange Archipelago
Three days from now

BR.

The message was short and vague that she decided to ignore it at first, but two days later she received a package containing tickets that are destined to Pummelo Island, she realized it then that the message was an invitation from someone that expects her to be a Pummelo Island.

So here she is right now, tired, sleepy and hungry after her long and hell like trips just to answer that invitation.

When she reached and entered the Pummelo Stadium, the Receptionist had merrily welcomed her and asked for her identification. After she confirmed that she is indeed Violet, the Receptionist lead her into a special room inside the stadium where she was surprised on to whom she met in there. Not just one, tow or five but 15 more Pokemon Trainers are in there, and not just any Trainers but all of them are also Pokedex Holders like her.

Red, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Pearl, Sapphire, Ruby, and many more, and one of them is even someone that she extremely recognize the most. It was Bronze, a friend of hers that had traveled along with her during her journeys in discovering Pokemons in the past.

Most of them glanced towards her and the Receptionist as they entered, they are probably checking who is it that arrive, and when they confirmed it, they all returned to their own businesses again, aside from Bronze of course, who approached her.

"Violet!" he greeted.

"Hey Bronze," she greeted back. "What are you doing here?"

"Same reason as yours probably."

"You also received the message?"

"Yeah," he said. "Same thing with them too," he pointed on the other Pokemon Trainers that are inside the room.

"Any idea who might have gathered us here?" she asked, hopeful that she can gain any answer from Bronze.

He shook his head, "Not a clue."

"Hey Violet!" A familiar voice called upon her. When she glanced to check to who it was, she realized that it was Red.

Like Bronze, she also met Red during one her journeys. Red is a Champion Trainer from Pallet Town and also like her and the rest of the other trainers that are gathered in this place, is a Pokedex Holder. When they first met, they engaged into a Pokemon Battle that ended up in a draw since almost 3 hours had passed by that no winner from the two of them had been declared. However, they made a promise to each other that once the opportunity strikes, that they will battle again and finish up what they had started.

"Hi Red," she said. "Long time no see."

"Yeah," he smiled. "It has been a while…So you received the invitation too?"

"Yes…unfortunately."

Red laughed on the sarcasm on her voice. "By the way, I haven't forgotten about our promise."

Violet smiled, delighted that he still haven't forgotten about their promise to have their rematch. "Of course."

Red tried to extend the conversation further but it ceases when the door opened again, revealing a jolly old man dressed in a fine and expensive suit. He has a huge belly, bald head and long white beard and mustache, a kind of person that will remind her or any other person about Santa Claus once they sees him, and along with him is Green, another Pokemon Trainer and Pokedex Holder that also came from Pallet Town just like Red. She's a cunning trainer who is well known as the Evolver, because of her great skills in evolving the skills of her unevolved Pokemons.

"Are they all here," the Old Man asked Green along 'Hohoho' laugh on his statement. He really is like Santa Claus.

"Not yet Mr. Richie," Green said. "I think at least 3 more Trainers haven't arrived yet but most of them here now."

He made that soft 'Hohoho' laugh again before he started his new statement, "Oh well, that's enough numbers already, we can get started then Ms. Green." And another 'Hohoho' laugh again on the end of the statement.

Green nodded to Mr. Richie before she faced them. "Good day my fellow Pokemon trainer, thank you for answering our invitation," she said. "Maybe you're all wondering why you're all gathered here right now."

"Sure we are!" Silver, a Pokemon Trainer from Johto Region interceded.

"Yeah Green," Cheren, a Pokemon Trainer from Nuvema Town said, following Blue's comment. "Why did make us travel from halfway around the world to Pummelo Island."

"Well, let me start answering your questions by introducing Mr. Billy Richie. He's a Billionaire Businessman that I met during my previous journey and a huge fan of Pokemon Battles."

"That's right," Mr. Richie said. "I'm a fanatic of Pokemon Battles, I already watched a lot of Pokemon Battles of great trainers and champions from Tournaments all over the world through videos and live TV coverage."

"He is indeed," Green continued. "However, Mr. Richie had never watched any actual battle while sitting in the live crowd, watching actual trainers and pokemons having their battles. So when he met me a few weeks ago, I decided to help him make his wish come true by hosting a Pokemon Tournament between all the Pokedex Holders."

"A battle against all Pokedex Holders?" Bronze mumbled. "This is going to be interesting.

Violet also thinks that same. A Tournament between all the Pokedex Holders surely is a great event, considering the fact that all of the Pokedex Holders are not just great Pokemon Trainers but also Champions that had received great honor due to their exceptional skills in Pokemon Battles.

"The venue of the tournament will commence here at the Pummelo Stadium 2 days from now, giving all participants enough time to rest and prepare their Pokemons for battle. It's going to be a Full Battle, meaning that all of the participants will have to use 6 Pokemons. The Champion of the Tournament will receive an all expense trip through the 5 Regions, visiting all their famous tourist spots, beaches, malls, and amusement parks while sailing on a Luxury Ship owned by none other than Mr. Richie."

All of the faces of the Pokedex Holder's that are gathered there lighten up when they heard what the grand price was.

"I will do my best to win this, I truly need some vacation," Bianca said, who was just standing nearby along with her friends Black and Cheren.

"Wow! The idea of having this tournament was already great, but the prize was even greater. I'll give my all to win that prize." Red said and then he turned to her, "Violet, there's a great chance that we might face each other in this tournament, we will settle everything here once and for all."

Violet nodded, she couldn't agree more. Everything that she could ever hope for are about to happen 2 days from now. The rematch against Red, the chance to witness other Pokemon Battles between all of the other Pokedex Holders like her, and a huge chance to have the vacation of the lifetime.

She can no longer wait.
